Tumblr a micro blogging platform and social media website, allows users to post multimedia in the form of images, videos and songs. Users can follow other users usually based on similar tastes and interests.  This social media community influences and encourages the communication and recognition of society possessing multicultural ideologies and interpretations of different ideas and issues. As of 2012, Tumblr had over 46.2 million blogs and more than 18 billion posts. Tumblr is most popular amongst teenagers and young adults with 50% of Tumblr’s visitors base under the age of 25. Due to the technological advancements and quick spread of information digitally amongst Generation Z, Tumblr has been able to grow and spread with 25,000 users each day from 2010.
